Mirjana Otasevic - General Manager / Owner

Mirjana was born and raised in former SFRJ (Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia) from Serbian mother and Montenegrin father. She was saluting the much beloved flag and her hero Marshal Tito for the first 15 years of her life, until he died on May 4, 1980.

She earned her Bachelor of Law at the University of Nis and commenced post-graduate studies at the University of Belgrade. These were interupter by the collapse of her country in 1991, and so she moved to The Netherlands. There she wrote a letter to Her Majesty Queen Beatrix, who instructed the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs to grant Mirjana a full scholarship. That is how she commence and complete her Master of Laws in International Law studies at the University of Leiden, The Netherlands.
Post-graduation she worked as a Research Assistant at the Faculty of Law (University of Amsterdam), and then as an Assistant Manager at Marcus Evans (Amsterdam branch of a global event management firm), to finally spin off on her own in January 2000 founding Moda Corp. (marketing and PR agency specializing in event management).
To round out her academic legal background, professional business experience and entrepreneurial savvy, she enrolled in the full-time (18 month) Master of Science in Marketing Management Program at EDHEC Business School in Nice, France. With the final thesis entitled “Has Buzz Marketing Emerged as an Independent Marketing Discipline?” she successfully graduated in 2007 and prepared the re-launch of Moda Corp. as a Brand Agency with the long term vision to eventually found Serbian Fashion Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to positioning Serbian fashion on national and international level.
Mirjana lives in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. She holds Dutch as second nationality, and visits her country (or two countries rather: Serbia and Montenegro) on regular basis.
